Sophie earned their Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University. They are born and raised in New York City and identify as queer and nonbinary.
Sophie practices therapy through a client-centered and trauma-informed lens, taking a warm, non-judgmental, and collaborative approach to working with clients and utilizing a variety of methodologies to make therapy best suited for the individual. Sophie is deeply committed to anti-racist and anti-oppressive practice both in and out of the therapy space.
Sophie has a background in LGBTQIA+ community education and engagement as well as queer theory, and they are passionate about identity exploration, queer community building, and access to identity-affirming care. They also have experience working with survivors of intimate partner violence, parents, children and adolescents, and those experiencing anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Sophie is a lover of visual and performing arts and enjoys bringing creative methodologies into their practice.
