Roscoe Lachey is an LMHC-LP providing individual counseling and psychotherapy to adults in New York. As a queer clinician specializing in LGBTQ+ affirming-therapy, he utilizes both life and training experience to create a safe explorational space for sexuality and gender-based topics, including but not limited to CNM, polyamory, gender diversity, sex work, and sexual trauma. Other areas of specialization include depression/anxiety, shame and guilt, life transitions, grief, self-esteem issues, and ADHD.
Roscoe takes an integrative approach to psychotherapy that utilizes various theoretical perspectives and techniques tailored to clients’ goals and preferences. He primarily draws upon cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and mindfulness-based approaches with an anti-oppressive lens.
Roscoe holds a Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Teachers College Columbia University and a BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art. Before arriving at a career in therapy, he worked in a nonprofit setting managing afterschool programs and teaching art, where he discovered a passion for helping others.
