Staff Therapist

She/Her

As a counselor, Megan employs a social justice-oriented, eclectic approach—drawing on humanistic and trauma-informed influences—to ensure each of her clients’ care is tailored to their specific needs and cultural identities. She views therapy as a collaborative process, wherein the client is the expert of their own lives and experiences. Her goal is to create a safe and inviting therapeutic space where clients can be authentic, gain insights, grow, and heal. Megan has experience in working with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, relational conflict, substance use, trauma, body image, gender and sexuality, cultural adjustment, and self-esteem.

Megan is a graduate of Teachers College, Columbia University with dual Masters degrees in Mental Health Counseling. Before landing at IHI, Megan held an internship at the LGBT Center of New York. It was here that her passion for working with the LGBT community in identity-focused counseling was forged into something more. Her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology is from Depauw University.
