Staff Therapist

They/Them

Lee (they/them) graduated from Brooklyn College with a masters degree in Mental Health Counseling. In their work Lee utilizes a hodge-podge of modalities and tools, drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy, internal family systems, mindfulness, and yoga. Inspired by their own yoga practice Lee takes a holistic approach, striving to integrate the body into talk therapy. They find exploration of somatic experiences to be a doorway into understanding how emotions are stored in, and processed through, the body, mind, and spirit. In their sessions Lee endeavors to create a trauma informed collaborative environment of mutual trust and safety. They follow the lead of the client, believing that the client is the expert of their own experience.

Lee is passionate about working with the LGBTQIA+ community. They offer therapy for individuals working with depression, anxiety, body image, disordered eating and eating disorders, trauma, substance use/abuse, navigating non-binary/gender fluid/transgender identities, sex and sexuality, and traversing life transitions.
