She/Her

Julia Blum is an LMSW psychotherapist who strives to create an inclusive, collaborative, and affirming therapeutic space where clients feel truly heard. She takes a relational and psychodynamic approach. She views therapy as a collaborative process, often describing herself as a passenger alongside clients as they guide their own care—working together to identify goals, explore patterns, and move toward meaningful and lasting change.

She has worked primarily with young adults and families with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, family dynamics, self-esteem, and identity exploration. She is especially passionate about supporting LGBTQIA+ clients, BIPOC clients, and individuals living with chronic illness or disabilities. Her work is deeply value-driven and client-centered, grounded in the belief that healing happens when clients feel safe, understood, and empowered. This work centers each client’s progress, comfort, and hope.

Julia earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Providence College and her Master of Social Work from Columbia University School of Social Work, with experience in various non profit and hospital settings.
