Staff Therapist

She/They

Emma aims to co-create a warm, compassionate, and affirming environment to support each of their clients in their therapeutic journey. She believes therapy is a space that can help us better understand past experiences and relationships and see the role we each play in our current perspectives on the world and ourselves. They work together with clients to explore history, identify patterns and behaviors, define boundaries, and move into growth and lasting change.

Their psychotherapy practice is built on an integrated approach, primarily combining psychodynamic and relational theories. She believes therapy should not only come from a strengths based and trauma informed perspective, but include a mix of modalities to provide the best care and services for each individual.

Through her experience in private practice, community programs, youth services organizations, and school based therapy, they worked with people of different racial, ethnic, sexuality, gender, religious, and physical ability identities. Their speciality and passion is working with LGBTQ2IA+ individuals, especially young adults. The breadth of her practice includes helping clients navigate the complexities of anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity, intimacy, relationships, and self esteem. They graduated from New York University's Silver School of Social Work and prior to joining the world of psychotherapy, spent several years working in a variety of non-profit and advocacy spaces.
