IHI Therapy Center provides expert, affirming care for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities, as well as those in non-traditional relationships styles such as consensual non-monogamy and polyamory.
With over five decades of experience in serving LGBTQ+ communities, IHI is New York’s gold standard of queer- and trans-affirming mental healthcare.
We are currently offering low-cost therapy sessions with our Advanced Clinical Interns for the months of October and November. Subsidized fees at
$65 per individual session
$100 per partner(s) relationship session
will be available to those facing financial difficulties or affected by social and economic disparities.

(New York, NY – January 2, 2024) – NYC Health + Hospitals’ Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion has partnered with the Institute for Human Identity (IHI) to develop and deliver the “LGBTQ+ Mental Health Training Project,” an advanced clinical training program for the health system’s mental health professionals aimed at building their clinical knowledge and skills to provide affirming therapy to LGBTQ+ patients. IHI is the nation’s first and longest-running provider of LGBTQ+-affirming psychotherapy.
