Ash is an advanced clinical intern pursuing their Master’s in Social Work at Hunter College’s Silberman School of Social Work. They bring a warm, curious, and deeply relational approach to their work, with a belief that people are experts in their own lives. 

Ash approaches therapy collaboratively, meeting clients with compassion, humor, curiosity, and without judgment. They believe that therapy can be a place to make sense of our experiences, understand the patterns that have helped us survive, and explore what we want our lives to look like beyond survival. They are particularly interested in the ways relationships, identity, family, community, and larger systems of power shape our emotional lives and sense of self.

Ash draws from relational, strengths-based, trauma-informed, and liberation-oriented approaches, adapting their work to each client’s needs and goals. They value building relationships that feel honest and human, and believe that meaningful therapeutic work does not require clients to have everything figured out before they walk through the door.

Before entering social work, Ash studied political science and worked in roles focused on public policy, housing access, and community support. Their experiences across these spaces continue to inform their understanding of the connection between individual wellbeing and the systems in which we live. At the heart of Ash’s practice is a simple belief: you deserve to have someone sit beside you as you figure things out.
