Aidan Bunker
Advanced Clinical Intern
They/Them
Aidan approaches therapy with curiosity and a desire to fit a client's needs with their own constantly evolving expertise. They are interested in building therapeutic relationships that leave clients feeling empowered to better understand themselves and their patterns. For Aidan, this begins with understanding how systems of oppression intersect with clients' daily lives, and seeing personal and communal wellbeing as intertwined. Aidan grounds their practice in a non-judgmental approach by centering their client's goals and supporting their agency.
Aidan takes a holistic approach to therapy by utilizing a strengths-based approach and a relational lens. Depending on clients' pain points and goals, they are comfortable focusing on many areas of life including family, friendships, relationships, identity, community, and spirituality. They believe in to working alongside clients to determine what tools and therapeutic structure are the most useful for them.
Aidan is an advanced clinical intern who is currently pursuing a Master's in Social Work at Hunter College’s Silberman School of Social Work. Previous to entering the field of social work, they studied and worked in public policy with a focus on housing access and voting rights.
