Sandra is a second year MSW candidate at Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. Sandra’s therapeutic approach is informed by healing justice practitioners, organizers, and activists, as well as their training as an abortion doula and decade-long career in movement spaces. Sandra aims to collaboratively create trauma-informed and intersectional therapeutic spaces with clients to explore growth and healing, both on an individual level and within relationships. They are interested in exploring the mutualistic dynamic that occurs when individual healing journeys necessarily inform and shift the rules of engagement within relationships, communities, institutions, and systems.

Sandra is excited to work with LGBTQ+ individuals and couples of all identities. They have a particular interest in working with queer and gender expansive folks of color and those with experiences of grief, ambiguous loss, intergenerational trauma, and the mental, emotional, and somatic burdens of engaging daily in oppressive systems.
