Erika utilizes an integrative approach with an emphasis on psychodynamic theory. She believes treatment should be client-centered and tailors her approach to the best fit for the client. She has experience in LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and trauma-informed therapy; she practices from a sex-positive, direct and non-judgmental perspective. Erika has helped clients with a range of struggles, including depression, anxiety, personality disorders, sexuality and gender identity, gender transition, body image, and navigating major life decisions.

Erika completed her Masters at Hunter Silberman School of Social Work with a focus in Clinical Mental Health. She holds a previous Masters in Education with a concentration in English, and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. Before entering the world of psychotherapy, Erika spent years working as a writer, a teacher, and a bartender; she believes in bringing writing, art, and creativity into the therapeutic process.
