Brian holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master's of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Baruch College. Having previously worked in city hospital and LGBTQ+-affirming settings, he has passion for working with marginalized and underserved people. Brian approaches therapy from a trauma- and DBT-informed approach that is collaborative, centering, creating safety, and restoring control to the client. Brian's care is also grounded in an intersectional perspective that emphasizes cultural competency and the impacts of discrimination. Brian has experience working with clients dealing with anxiety, depression, PTSD, C-PTSD, substance abuse, suicidal ideation, and mood disorders.
