Clinical Supervisor

He/Him

After a successful career as a Broadway dancer and writer, John redirected his passion and creativity to be of service to the community as a psychotherapist.

John earned a BFA in Dance from the Juilliard School and a Master’s in Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Mercy College.

John’s ethos is to interact with individuals and couples, actively and openly to create an atmosphere of safety and self-reflection. While working to alleviate symptoms, John explores, through a Social Justice lens, the ways an individual’s narrative influences their identity and perceptions of life’s circumstances.

The alliance between therapist and client is of utmost importance to John. Using mindfulness and humor, John helps clients cultivate self-acceptance, healthy boundaries, increased intimacy, and clarity of direction allowing depression, anxiety, and relationship problems to be relieved.

John has experience working with the LGBTQ+ community, performing artists, as well as with individuals and couples navigating open relationships, polyamory, and other non-traditional sexual expressions in a sex-positive atmosphere.
